14 May We are Still Here for You
Everyone is wondering when we will be getting back to work, including us. It does seem very surprising how things have changed so much over these last few weeks.
We have been keeping on top of situations with the strategy-
Luckily all of you are so good at looking after your teeth that these situations have been very few. We have a lot of information available, previous X-ray pictures, photos, chartings, and history. All through the years we have made decisions with our patients to make sure things are properly taken care of. There were of course some situations which we all decided to “keep under observation” or monitor, and as Ashley said to us,we just wouldn’t have predicted a global pandemic interrupting our regular reviews.
Our team are furloughed, except for Ashley who is doing her best to sort out future appointments, answer the phone and deal with emails. Yann, Gilly and Ashley are in touch with each other every day, and throughout the day.
While we are keen to get back to work caring for our patients our number one concern is the safety of our patients, and of our team.
With the present information, when we do go back to work everything is going to be completely different. We will require full PPE, with gowns, FFP3 masks, air purifiers, and downtime between each patient. We may only have one treatment room set up initially so will work shifts among us.
We are extremely happy that last year we joined up with Portman Dental Care so we are part of an excellent group who are doing their utmost to get us back working safely.
We have been carrying out phone consultations over the last weeks and doing our best to get in touch with patients by phone. As it may be a few weeks till we return to the practice we are going to trial virtual and video consultations to catch up with as many people as we can.
Like everyone we have found new ways of doing things and we will continue doing our best to do all that we can to support our patients.
