Frequently Asked Questions

Your dental questions answered
Do we accept NHS patients?

We are a private practice , but if there is anything we can help you with we will be glad to.

How does the members plan work?

The members plan is designed to be preventive by making it easy to attend regularly. It is paid by monthly direct debit which covers 2 examinations with the dentist and 2 visits to the hygienist per year. There is 10% off any treatment, and remember, less treatment is required when problems are picked up early. There is also worldwide insurance cover for dental treatment when abroad as well as cover in case of accidents damaging the teeth.

How much is the initial consultation?

The initial consultation is a one hour appointment and the cost is £82.50, which includes the full examination, photographs and any X-rays if necessary, as well as a chance to discuss any concerns.

Do we do implants? How much are they?

Yes we do implants. The cost is £2900 for the whole treatment. We use Straumann implants which are top of the range and the best quality.

How much is a white filling?

White composite fillings are £126-£280. We can also make porcelain or composite partial crowns which are £475-£875.

What do you do for teeth grinding and clenching?

We have different options, according to your situation. We can offer acupuncture if there is pain from muscle tension. We can make several different types of protective device, according to your situation. The Sleep clenching Inhibitor is one type, which costs £325.

What is your holistic approach?

The initial consultation is a one hour appointment and the cost is £82.50, which includes the full examination, photographs and any X-rays if necessary, as well as a chance to discuss any concerns.

How do you safely remove amalgam?

We don’t routinely remove amalgam fillings unless there are good clinical reasons to do so. Amalgam fillings can generally be very stable. If a filling has to be removed for clinical reasons we use dental dam and high volume suction. Of course, we haven’t done any amalgam fillings here for many years.
