Yann Maidment
PRINCIPAL DENTIST
GDC No. 59288
Yann qualified from Edinburgh University in 1984. He and Gilly took
over the practice in Chester Street in 1987 before moving to Stafford
Street in 2006. Yann loves extra studying and has 3 degrees to show
for it. He strives for excellent systems in dental practice but is
now focused on making sure that Stafford Street Dental Care runs
smoothly and provides fantastic care.
Yann sometimes appears to be a bit serious but it is because he is
always thinking. His patients know that he takes excellent care of
them but is able to quote from his own research how long their crown
will last.
Yann has a diploma in dental Acupuncture and is able to treat TMJ
dysfunction, anxiety, sinusitis etc
Yann and Gilly have 4 sons, and they love nothing better than cycling
and camping trips together. Yann is regularly to be seen refereeing
rugby games on a Saturday so if you want to distract him just ask
about his last match.
Gilly Maidment

There is more to Gilly than being Yann's wife and business partner.

their appearance and their dental health. She has an interest in
cosmetic dentistry and has lots of experience and knowledge of tooth
whitening.Gilly qualified from Edinburgh in 1983.
As a member of the British Academy of cosmetic dentistry she keeps up
to date with the latest developments and regularly attends
postgraduate course to improve her knowledge.
With her four sons to feed, Gilly is good at cooking massive meals.
She is a keen judo player (with a black belt to prove it) and like
Yann she loves to go off on cycling expeditions and camping weekends.
